Cristóbal MoyaOn November 17 and 18, 2025, we are organizing a two-day workshop on the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) at DIW Berlin. In addition to presentations on the composition, data structure, sampling design, and weighting strategy, hands-on sessions will offer a practical approach to the data and its potential.
The workshop is aimed at researchers at all qualification levels who want to work with SOEP data in the future or are currently in the early stages of SOEP-based data analysis.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of analysis software is a prerequisite for participation: The workshop provides an introduction to the analysis of SOEP data, but not to software packages such as Stata or R.
The workshop will be held in English!

Registration
The number of participants is limited. However, participation is free of charge and refreshments and snacks will be provided during breaks. We are not able to provide lunch! But there are numerous cafés, bakeries, and restaurants in the surrounding area.
