Prof. Dr. Pio Baake

Pio Baake started working at DIW Berlin in 2003. He is a Senior Research Fellow in the Firms and Markets Department and Research Director for Regulation. He holds an extraordinary professorship in economics at the Technische Universität Berlin. After studying economics at the Technische Universität Berlin, he completed his doctorate in 1995 and his habilitation in 2002 at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His research interests are in the areas of industrial organization, regulation, and finance. His work has been published in journals such as the International Journal of Industrial Organization, the Journal of Regulatory Economics, Public Choice, and International Tax and Public Finance.
