Dr. Mattis Beckmannshagen

Mattis Beckmannshagen joined the Socio-economic Panel (SOEP) in October 2022. Before, he earned his Ph.D. at Freie Universität Berlin. His research research interests primarily lie in the field of labor economics with a focus on inequality and health. He particularly cares about labor supply preferences, i.e. why people work as much as they do, and what consequences this might have. Further, I am interested in minimum wages, their implementation as well as their distributional and employment effects.
