Dana Kirchem

Research Associate of the

Energy, Transportation, Environment Department

Research Topics and Working Areas
  • Renewable energies
  • Sector coupling
  • Heating transition
Dana Kirchem joined the research group ‘Transformation of the Energy economy’ within the Department Energy, Transportation, Environment in September 2021. Her dissertation at the University College Dublin and the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) Dublin dealt with the modelling of energy demand flexibility in integrated energy-water systems. Prior to her PhD, Dana studied Economics at the University of Muenster and the Universidad de Guadalajara. Her research interests include the capacity expansion of renewable energies, the heating transition and different aspects of sector coupling, such as green hydrogen.
