The annual Workshop for Women in Macroeconomics, Finance and Economic History (WIMFEH) is organized by the DIW Berlin and the University of Bonn. The aim is to bring together female academic researchers and practitioners to promote and exchange ideas in the field of Macroeconomics, Finance, and Economic History.
DIW Berlin and the University of Bonn are pleased to host the 6th Workshop for Women in Macroeconomics, Finance, and Economic History (WIMFEH) at DIW Berlin from May 7 to 8, 2026. The goal is to bring together female academic researchers and practitioners to promote the exchange of ideas and experience in the fields of Macroeconomics, Finance, and Economic History. We invite contributions, including, but not limited to:
The conference shall facilitate and support the formation of professional networks among female economists across academia and policy institutions. Each conference day will feature a keynote lecture by an invited speaker, contributed papers and discussions.

Each will share their experiences and provide insights regarding research careers in economics.
The 5th annual Workshop for Women in Macroeconomics, Finance and Economic History will be held at the DIW, May 5 – 6, 2025. The aim is to bring together female academic researchers and practitioners to promote the exchange of ideas and experience in the fields of Macroeconomics, Finance, and Economic History.
