Dr. Sonja Dobkowitz

Dr. Sonja Dobkowitz is a researcher at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) in Berlin. She explores how social and economic factors, such as income inequality, demand, or inno-vation, influence the effectiveness of fiscal and climate policies. Her academic career took her to various institutions across Europe and the US. She obtained her degrees in Economics from the University of Bonn and the Barcelona School of Economics fol-lowed by a one-year research stay at the European Central Bank. During her doctoral studies at the University of Bonn, she visited the Collège de France in Paris.
