Pia Hüttl is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Macroeconomics Department at DIW Berlin. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Tor Vergata in Rome and a Master’s in European Political Economy from the London School of Economics. She has worked at the European Commission and the European Central Bank. For three years, she was a Research Affiliate at Bruegel, a Brussels-based think tank, where she focused on European financial and economic issues. She then completed her PhD at Humboldt University of Berlin, specializing in European financial integration. Her research primarily examines the effects of monetary policy on the banking sector and the real economy, as well as the impact of credit bubbles on voting behavior.
