Concise and up-to-date, these include clearly presented data compilations and incisive comments and they are scientifically founded as well as easily understood. The DIW Wochenbericht is in German but offers abstracts in English.

Please be informed that selected Wochenbericht articles are translated and published as DIW Weekly Report.
As part of the DFG project “Wochenbericht digital in Wort und Zahl - Digital provision of DIW Wochenbericht content from 1928 to 1968 (WBdigital),” the historical DIW Wochenberichte from 1928 to 1968 have been digitized and their content indexed.
You can access the historical Wochenberichte via the digital repository WBdigital. The collection includes 35 volumes, which are available as OCR-recognized digital copies and can be searched using various search criteria (see “Wochenberichte”). The search options include a full-text search, a search for specific articles, a search by year of publication, and a thematic search based on the Standard Thesaurus for Economics (STW) in German and English, supplemented by concordances from other controlled vocabularies and knowledge databases (e.g., Wikidata). In addition, the “Numbers Overviews,” which are published regularly in the form of thematic series, are available as a digital resource. These are made available as annual excerpts in a machine-readable format and can be searched according to various criteria and downloaded for further processing (see “Numbers Overviews”). Furthermore, the comprehensive economic statistics indicators of each series have been aggregated into long and consistent time series and published in structured form as data sets (see “Time series”).
The digitization project is currently still in progress, so not all content is available yet. In the coming weeks, missing Wochenberichte, number overviews, and time series data sets will be added step by step.
By the end of the first quarter of 2025, the historical DIW Wochenberichte from 1969 to 2025 will also be supplemented by internal funding.
