Jo-Ya Kung

Jo-Ya joined the DIW Graduate Center this year as part of the 2023 cohort. She holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Mainz with a specialization in International Economics. Her master’s thesis examined the policy implications and potential risks of introducing central bank digital currencies. In 2023, she interned at the ifo Center for International Economics in Munich, where she participated in projects on various trade sanctions and regional agreements. Jo-Ya’s research interests are macroeconomics and international economics, especially topics related to monetary and trade policies under geopolitical conflicts.
