The Schumpeter-BSoE-Seminar is the Berlin Macro and Economic History seminar. It is jointly organized by Michael Burda (HU Berlin), Britta Gehrke (FU Berlin), Frank Heinemann (TU Berlin), Alexander Kriwoluzky (DIW Berlin), Josefin Meyer (DIW) and Nikolaus Wolf (HU Berlin).

We would like to draw your attention to the Nobel Prize Lecture 2024 & New Year's Reception of the School of Business and Economics. Due to this event, the Schumpeter seminar will be cancelled on this date.

Event information:

Lecture by Nikolaus Wolf (HU Berlin) on the work of the winners of the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2024 Daron Acemoglu, Simon Johnson and James A. Robinson, who were honored "for studies of how institutions are formed and affect prosperity".

The lecture will be followed by a discussion with Nikolaus Wolf and the audience on the topic "Does the democratic market economy have a future?".

The event will be held in English.

Afterwards, the School of Business and Economics invites you to a New Year's reception.
