After completing his studies in political and social sciences in Heidelberg, Granada and Amsterdam, Mario took up a position as a research assistant and PhD student at DIW. His research involves the quantitative analysis of media data using computational social science methods (NLP, machine learning), and the linking of different types of data. His research interests include the transformation of local media, and media effects on political opinion in a regional context.
