Nina joined the Graduate Center in October 2023 and plans to pursue her doctorate in the DIW's Macroeconomics Department. She has a background in development economics and prior experience in start-up and scale-up project management. She completed her master’s degree in the Netherlands with a thesis on the consistency of European sanction regimes in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her research interests encompass multidimensional socio-economic research, addressing contemporary issues and geared towards providing policy guidance. She is particularly intrigued by long-term macroeconomic trends and the underlying motivations that influence economic policy decisions. Excited for the time ahead, she is especially looking forward to the opportunity to delve deeper into the world of macroeconomics and contributing to impactful research in the field.
