“We want to understand social change” - The Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP)

[English subtitles, German language video] The Socio-Economic Panel is one of the most extensive and longest-running social science panel studies worldwide. Every year, the SOEP team currently surveys around 30,000 people in almost 22,000 households. “We want to understand human life,” says SOEP Director Sabine Zinn. “We want to know how social groups live together and find the connection between people's beliefs and their actions.”
