Alexander is a Ph.D. student at the DIW Berlin Graduate Center since October 2018. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Mannheim and his Master’s degree in economics from the University of Mannheim and the Free University of Brussels (ULB) in a joint double-degree program. Alexander’s research interests include empirical microeconomics, focusing on climate, energy, and environmental topics and policies. Before joining the DIW, Alexander worked in the climate action department of the European Commission and as a researcher for the Brussels-based think tank Bruegel.
