Caroline Stiel is a research associate at DIW Berlin. Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, firm productivity, public infrastructure services, and new advances in empirical methods. Caroline Stiel received her PhD in November 2018 from Technische Universität Berlin. Her dissertation analyses the productivity of municipal energy and water utilities in Germany in the light of liberalisation, the transition towards a low-carbon economy, and demographic change.
