Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, den Anteil von produktiven und schnell wachsenden Unternehmen an der Wirtschaft, ihre Merkmale wie Sektor, Standort (Stadt/Land, schwach verdichtet, verdichtet, stark verdichtet etc.), Größe und Alter seit der Gründung sowie ihre Wachstumsentwicklung zu ermitteln. Ferner soll untersucht werden - soweit es die Datenlage zulässt - welche Einflussgröße zum Erfolg beitragen.

The main purpose of the project is to put together a comprehensive database including qualitative and quantitative information from past merger cases, which would enable DG Competition to produce statistical reports which could serve as an input to DG Competition's decision making practice in relation to EU merger control, both for operational and for policy purposes.
