Lorenz Meister joined the DIW GC as a PhD student in 2020. Since 2021, he has been a research associate at the SOEP and the International Economics Department. In his research, he explores the political economy of crisis interventions, and resulting distributional effects. With his research he wants to promote and shape evidence-based policy. Lorenz worked for the OECD, the United Nations Secretariat, and the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy. Beginning in January 2024, he will be a six-month Visiting Fellow at Harvard University's Opportunity Insights Lab.
